TESTS PARFORMED: We tested the Mineral content of the bell and the metal pins attaching it to the wood Mount. The test results shows traces of Gold, Silver, Platinum and other Minerals in small percentages that allows us to be certain that the dates inscribed on the bell are correct. The industrial revolution of the 1700’s discovered new method of extracting minerals from the Ore, Iron was refined using a traditional method called “smelting”.. These tests results can be a significant factor in dating the bell.

MORE ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: This Amazing One of a kind Model piece was donated to a museum by the estate of Dr. Ladislao Reti and his wife in 1973, the year that Dr. Reti passed away. Here bellow are details that was discovered about this piece which, that make us believe that The Bell of this item could of been used by Leonardo Da Vinci himself for his research and discovery of the Bell Support Mechanism.
The New York Times article: Ladislao Reti, Who Helped Find Leonardo Notebooks, Dies
“Dr. Ladislao Reti, an authority on Leonardo da Vinci, die near Milan, Italy, on Oct. 25, 1973 according to word reaching here yesterday.
Dr. Reti, of the University California at Los Angeles played a major role in the discovery of the long‐lost note books of the Italian master the National Library in Madrid in 1965.
He edited the documents, an( they are to be published soot by McGraw‐Hill.
The actual find was made bi Dr. Jules Piccus, also a Leonardo scholar, and he and Dr Reti authenticated the documents in 1967.
The find; which consisted of some 700 pages of manuscript and drawings, lost for almost two centuries, established Leonardo as the inventor of several devices, among them the chair drive.
About 5,000 pages of Leonardo’s manuscripts have been discovered, and the latest find, which contained some of his most elaborate and careful work, added much to the rich store of the master’s work.
Dr. Reti’s work at the California library involved him with one of the world’s foremost Leonardo collections, given by Dr. Elmer Belt.”
Dr. Ladislao Reti was the editor and co-author of the book “The Unknown Leonardo”, that was published 1 year after his death in 1974.

On page 282 in his book, Dr. Reti exhibited detailed drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci’s theory of his Bell support Mechanize.
Dr. Reti described that there were two other systems appeared: – “More then 200 years after Leonardo made the sketches for the bell support, and identical system appeared in Jacob Leopold’s Theatrum Generale. Then, another century later, J.V Poncelet in his Traite de Mecanique Industrielle described the method used in supporting the Mutte bell in the cathedral de Matz.” (Dr. Rati also published copy of these two drawings on the opposite page where he posted Leonardo’s 1500 AD original notes and drawings of the Bell Support Mechanism.)

Dr. Reti had our bell in his possession at the time he edited his book, yet according to his statement there, he ordered another model from Sinibaldo Parrini Of Florence and used it to publish his book. The Bell Mechanism Dr, Reti already had in his possession was a better option to be used in the Da Vinci book, since the Arms of our mechanism are more exact to Leonardo,s drawings. He didn’t have to order another model, but yet he did.
We believe that Dr. Reti knew something about our Bell Support System that he didn’t want to expose. Could it be that this was the bell used by Leonardo on his research??
